Opened in late July 2006, Bembì is a symbolic name that Mahrati language means "navel." The name is related to the mission of Bembi, that beyond a restaurant that aims to "be a cultural bridge between Barcelona and India, offering high-value culinary experience that will satisfy the most demanding customers." Bembì is a contemporary space, dotted with discrete elements of authentic India. The restaurant has a modern and elegant with a romantic and cozy.
Bembì recipes are based on tradition, but look to the future and are adapted to local tastes. None of the dishes are spicy (except if specifically requested). There are some dishes you'll find only Bembì like Lamb Biriyani, delicious chunks of lamb with steamed basmati rice with saffron and spices of India and served with yogurt sauce.
